Gainesville

February 15, 2016

Hey Y'all!
This week has been AWESOME! We had 2 trade offs this week. On Monday night we went over to probably my favorite member's house in the ward, Sis. May. She is awesome! I tried on her fur coat and her cowboy hat. She loves them and I can't say I have anything against it.

Tuesday we had trade offs with Elder Stanley and Elder Ward. I went with Elder Stanley and we had a super fun time. We knocked 3 doors and found 2 new investigators only because the middle door didn't even answer. It was a miracle! And we are going to invite one of them to baptism this week! We also raced each other and he destroyed me. WE had to give an emergency blessing to a pregnant lady at the hospital too so that was awesome.

Wednesday was pretty uneventful. Thursday I went on a trade off with my former child Elder Smith. It was SO MUCH FUN. We were machines that day. We taught 9 people in a single day. It was really awesome to see how much he's grown since he was just a little bitty greenie. We talked about life and had Elders Quorum trade offs that night. We went and saw a couple of our investigators and both of the people we dropped in on we're home and we were able to teach them! (Never happens.) so that was great father son bonding time. I'm so pumped he's in my zone!

Friday we had weekly planning and taught some people. We had dinner with the Whitakers in the Ward and taught Emmanuel who is getting baptized this Sunday!  So that was a birthday present in and of itself. Thanks to everyone who wished me a happy birthday! Saturday was crazy. We taught a bunch of people but they were all crazy. We taught this one and the lesson was going super good, and then out of nowhere he just starts going off about how we become trees when we die and then we become dogs and the man that owns us has to wash us, etc. It was way weird. Yesterday we had no one come to church but found out after that we had one who was driving around town looking for it and tried calling but we had no signal at the church so that was heartbreaking, BUT we did get in contact with him after church and invited him to the baptism at the church that night and he came!! It was great.

It's Really Weird being a Zone Leader

February 8, 2016

Hey Y'all!

This week has been awesome as usual! It's really weird being a Zone Leader. It's definitely different. Definitely a lot more pressure to be better. Things that are different: our phone is pretty much ringing all day with people calling or texting us with questions they have about different stuff. Telling us all their problems. We have to spend more time doing administrative things like planning out zone meeting, doing miles, sending in the zone's numbers, etc. so we definitely have our hands full.

My favorite (investi*) gator I've met here is this 17 year old kid named Emmanuel. He keeps every single commitment we give him and he even set up his own ride to church! He is getting baptized on the 21st which is AWESOME. We have been finding and teaching and met some awesome new people this week. The Ward is great and is pretty involved with missionary Work! My companion's name is Elder Vance and he is from Roberts, Idaho. He has been out one transfer less than me and he is awesome.

Love y'all!

Transferred back to Gainesville to be a Zone Leader!

February 1, 2016

Hey Y'all!
This week was awesome! We got a ton done and saw a bunch of people. We had some good dinners this week and guess what I got?!? A hammer and a screwdriver that this awesome member crocheted me!

We did some service in 1st Ward for a non-member building a gun range And filled a bunch of girls with dirt. It was awesome. In other words we went to Sonic and got some shakes and just did normal missionary stuff.

Transfers came and it looks like I'm moving back to GAINESVILLE!!! And get this, they called me to be a Zone Leader. It's super crazy and was a major shock, but I guess the Lord qualifies. So it's mega crazy but anyways we are having Zone P-day right now so I have to go!

Love you all!
